This week marks 4 years of Sexplanations and to have a good time I wished to give attention to you, our viewers! Some of you have got shared your favourite Sexplanations recollections and ideas on the present so we made a compilation of it as this week’s video. It’s stunning and I cried once I first noticed it.
I’m grateful for all of you. Sexplanations wouldn’t be what it’s with out your funding, encouragement, and suggestions. To present my gratitude I’ve began a podcast known as Sexplanations Podcast.
Here’s a hyperlink to our first episode: http://bit.ly/2sd1RrI

  1. this channel has been my sex education through adolescence and for that I am really grateful! I wouldn't be where I am today as a young lgbt person without you guys! much love and thank you to the moon and back

  2. Oh my god a podcast! I am so excited! I absolutely love your show and have learned so incredibly much! My fiance and I always watch it! It is the best! Thank you so much!

  3. Dr.Doe,
you have inspired what I want to do with the rest of my life. I want to be like you when I go to college. I love you so much. Thank you for educating me and pushing me to new understandings. <3 <3 <3

  4. Lindsay! You have given me my passion!!! In October of last year, I met you at a conference in Denver and you really gave me the confidence I needed to pursue my dreams. I am currently starting an internship at a sexual health clinic and applying to graduate school at your Alma Mater, hoping to make my way into the world of sex ed and clinical sexology! I sincerely thank you for everything you've done for me, my career path, and my personal relationships and sexual health!!!!

  5. Ever since I was a kid, biology and psychology have been in my top five favorite things ever (the other three were English, music, and the fantasy genre), and as I got older and started learning about myself, those two things took each other by the hand and held my attention every waking moment. I fought a lot of the things I discovered about myself after I joined Tumblr, like the fact that I'm romantically interested in girls more than guys, or that I'm asexual, or the fact that I'm probably agender but am completely unsure and that's okay. Thankfully, I'm stubborn and opened my own mind to my own experiences, and through Tumblr and my obsession with relationships I found this YouTube channel! I blew my mind that sexology was a THING and that you could get a PhD in it!

I admit I felt kind of cheated, since I was already failing out of a musical performance major by the time I found this channel and I thought my window of opportunity had closed forever. Still, the fact that there was an open-minded individual teaching clinical sexual education to anyone who was interested in it FOR FREE absolutely enthralled me, and I binged the entire channel in a few days. It has its flaws, but they're minor and harmless in the long run, and I am so happy that it exists!

Because of this channel (and because of a few extra changes my life has taken), I've decided to go back to college at the age of 21 and to try to beat my mental health issues into submission to become a sexologist myself! I never would have done this without Dr. Doe and the overwhelming inspiration and confidence she's given me (as corny as that sounds), and I just want her to know that I will be forever grateful to her and what she's providing for everyone. Happy Birthday, Sexplanations!

  6. Thank you for all the lovely information that helps us with our sex lives! I started watching this show while I was taking sex ed class too!

  7. Yessssssssss Dr. Lindsey has help me be way more comfortable with myself and my sexuality. I love this channel and this community for helping me merge out of the sex negative mentality i was raised with.

  8. Thank you so much for all you do. I've learned a lot, and I wish this was around when I was in high school.

  9. Sexplanations helped me a lot the last couple of years, and continues to excite and educate me with every video. I'm so excited for your podcast and for what is to come. Keep up the good work Dr!

  10. Your video on prefixes was one of my first steps in figuring out that I'm asexuality and grey-romantic, and your other videos have provided a huge range of information on other topics, thank you and congratulations on four years!

  11. Amazing show. subscribe right a few my first show. You popped up on the feed when I was watching crash course philosophy.

  12. I love that some of the people are like, "I love Sexplanations. Btw, blah blah blah shameless self promotion." lol

  13. It's weird that I now watch this show all the time, ever since I became celibate. I'm more educated and at peace with myself now, but I"m pretty sure I won't be in a relationship again. I guess I just love being educated. Thank you Dr Doe.

  14. I love this channel so much. I first discovered it fact checking my health class and it's made my life SO much better! I've made friends by introducing them to this channel, and it's helped foster an incredible relationship with my girlfriend. Thanks, Dr. Doe.

  15. Thank you for everything. I'm currently a highschool student in a country where Sex-Ed is not common so your videos helped a lot. It also helped me understand that it's okay to be curious about our bodies and it's okay to talk openly about sex.
I'm even considering a post-secondary education in sexology because I think what you're doing is so important.
So thank you Sexplanation team. Thank you thank you thank you.

  16. Can't wait to wear my " stay curious" rainbow shirt!! Thank you Sexplanations, Dr. Doe and team, for ALL you do!
