    It is 180mm Shirogami Steel usuba knife by Seki Magoroku. Shirogami steel is "white paper" steel which is very pure carbon steel. It sells for a little over $100.

    The inscriptions are 関孫六 (Seki Magoroku) and 白鋼 (White Steel).

    This time I used my hands to polish the knife and I only polished up and down the knife, but if you polish it in multiple directions the scars will be less visible. I mean, you normally use a glider to do mirror polish but if you're interested in polishing by hand, that's something you might want to keep in your mind.
